OCTOBER 24, 2017 – CLEVELAND – Mazzella Companies is excited to announce its successful certification to the new ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems standard at their Cleveland, OH headquarters. ISO 9001 is the world’s most widely recognized Quality Management System and helps organizations to meet the expectations and needs of their customers.
In September of 2017, AMPLUS Global Associates, Inc., assessed Mazzella Companies’ management systems to the updated requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard, and recommended and approved them for compliance.
The decision was made in 2016 to upgrade its certified ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems to the newest ISO 9001:2015 standard. The new standard focuses on risk-based thinking and accountability in all organizational processes to help improve communications, efficiency, and the implementation of continuous improvement.
“We started this process to transform the company—with the ultimate goal of getting certified to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. But during the process, we developed a ‘Mazzella Way’ quality management system based on three key points: being the best at all we can be, insuring the safety of all of our stakeholders, and always satisfying our customers,” said Clark Neft, Vice President of Strategic Business Development, Mazzella Companies.
“We changed the way we looked at things so we could create one comprehensive management system. Receiving this certification is really just one milestone in our journey. Our ultimate goal is to have all of the brands under the Mazzella Companies umbrella use the tools in the ISO 9001:2015 standard to meet our ‘Mazzella Way’ management system standards by 2019.”
