Mazzella Companies has grown a lot over the years. But while bigger has its benefits, CEO Tony Mazzella says activating those benefits takes strategic effort.

Mazzella Cos. has grown significantly under second-generation leader Tony Mazzella, from 42 employees and two locations in 1988 when he took over the business to more than 800 employees and 30 locations today.

My dad and grandfather went to work for that company and started their first wire rope shop. This was back I the early 1940s when my dad was a young kid. He went to work right after his sophomore year in high school.
